The following 'Standing Committees' of the Mat-Su LEPC actively work to achieve goals in their areas of designation, and report back to the LEPC as a whole each month:

Community Awareness Committee:

This committee strives to educate and inform the communities of the Mat-Su Borough about disaster preparedness, prevention, existing and potential hazards in the area, and the activities of the LEPC in addressing such hazards. Towards these ends, this committee has developed an informational CD-ROM, a brochure, this web site, public service announcements, hand-out materials for Health Fair and State Fair booths, and more. Please stop by our booth at the Alaska State Fair to find out more!

Executive Committee:

This committee oversees LEPC project goal achievement, funding, compliance, policies, and other administrative functions which often require attention between each monthly meeting.
